EXPLORE THE METHOD — PUBLIC EXAMPLES
These examples show the evidence-first method without publishing private whānau records. One uses an official public source; the others are clearly marked method demonstrations so a visitor can see how oral history and whenua research should be structured without inventing a historical claim.
Official source: New Zealand Legislation. The source identifies the Act as 1991 No 69. RAIS treats the official instrument and its dated version as the source; any wider legal conclusion still needs the relevant sections and context.
This demonstration shows the fields RAIS expects before drawing a conclusion: block/place, exact minute-book or title reference, page, date, people named, map or survey source, and the evidence classification.
No private whānau claim is being published in this demonstration.
RAIS preserves the speaker, date, consent, recording reference and the kōrero itself as oral history. Corroborating documents can be linked later without silently converting the kōrero into documentary proof.
This is a method demonstration, not a claim about a particular whānau.
RAIS is designed to preserve both sources, record the disagreement and identify what further evidence is needed. The system should not hide a conflict simply to produce a tidy answer.
WHAKAPAPA & WHENUA
Private whakapapa and whenua records can be organised with documentary sources, maps, court material and oral history while preserving the difference between proven evidence, inference and community knowledge.

STUDIO ONE
Studio One turns selected research into films, images, narration, storyboards, presentations and educational media. Generated material remains separate from verified evidence unless it has been independently sourced and checked.

The Waka Kōtuku Community Platform brings social communication and research together while keeping private research permission-controlled.
